On Thursday, April 20, 2017, Thomas Coville, holder of the solo and non-stop world record in 49 days, is made a Knight of the Legion of Honor by the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, in the hall of honor of 'Palais de l'Elysee. Armel le Cléac'h winner of the Vendée Globe 2016-2017 is also knighted in the Legion of Honor. All the skippers of Vendée Globe were also here.
