The Baie des Trépassés, located at the tip of Brittany in the far west, is surrounded to the north by the tip of Van and to the south by the Pointe du Raz. Its unpleasant name would come from the many castaways recovered on the beach of the bay due to the tidal currents and prevailing winds from the western sector facing the Atlantic, following their passages of the famous Raz-de-Sein.
The Baie des Trépassés is an integral part of the great site of France.
